The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
The first badge a Scout earns is the Bobcat Badge.
To earn their Bobcat, each Scout must learn the Scout Oath and Law, and Cub Scout sign, salute, handshake, and motto. These will be used at every meeting and are the foundation of the Cub Scouting experience.
